Our Team

Gerry Marra, Experience Design
Gerry@dystopiarisingnewjersey.com

Gerry has been a part of Dystopia Rising New Jersey for eight years. He's been an Ops Guide, written plot for four different games across the network, and has traveled the network before stepping into the role of Experience Design for DRNJ with a drive to take the game back to its roots as a Survival Horror experience.

In the time he's not trying his best to terrify all of his players in the woods, Gerry enjoys cooking, crying while losing on League of Legends, Airsoft, traveling with friends, and defending Taylor Ham over Pork Roll.

If you've got questions regarding the story of DRNJ, genre guidelines, Action Requests, plotlines, or just want to dive in head first into the horrific world of Dystopia Rising, Gerry will be there to help shape your experience into the best it can be!

John Kornreich, Logistics
john@dystopiarisingnewjersey.com

John has been a part of Dystopia Rising since 2016, and has been an avid LARPer for well over a decade. He first joined the team as a Coordination guide, working in that role at two chapters before becoming the Logistics head for DRNJ. He’s helped run several national events on the logistics and organization end, and works hard to keep his chapter running through the magical power of spreadsheets.

Outside of LARP, John enjoys such esoteric hobbies as playing video games, taking a million pictures of his dog, and hand-picking the most exquisite tiktoks to send to his friends. He’s a lifelong resident of Maryland, and while he loves and respects his second home in New Jersey, he knows better than to wade into such academic debates as that of Pork Roll vs. Taylor Ham.

If you have questions about your sheet, blueprints, mechanics, the database, the rulebook, or anything in between, John’s your guy! He’ll be able to answer it all, and have even your toughest tech problem sorted out in a jiffy.
